WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.—Someone has broken into the suburban Denver gun shop featured on Discovery Channel’s “American Guns.”
Wheat Ridge police were notified of a silent alarm at the Gunsmoke Gun Shop just before 4:15 a.m. Wednesday and found that the shop had been entered through a hole in the roof. Police say a witness across the street reported seeing a silver two-door car leaving the gun shop parking lot, shortly after the silent alarm was received.
Police say it appears more than one person may have been involved in the burglary. Investigators had no suspects or suspect descriptions Wednesday afternoon, and an inventory of stolen property was not yet complete.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives is assisting investigators.
