The intersection of Alameda Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive was shut down Saturday night after an accident in which a truck hit a pedestrian.
The incident was originally considered a hit-and-run, but police announced at 8 p.m. that the driver had contacted police.
Denver police had announced on Twitter about 7:45 p.m. that a female victim was being transported to a hospital with serious bodily injuries. Police said they were seeking a Chevy truck in connection with the incident.
