has no love for MTV … or at least thatap what his new track, “#HottestMC,” suggests.
Itap pretty easy to insult the once music-video-only channel. To begin with, the acronym no longer stands for “Music Television.” Then there’s the fact that music videos are hard to find on MTV. Ultimately, though, the pop-culture machine’s largest offense was “Jersey Shore.”
But Danny Brown doesn’t take issue with any of those points. No, itap the channel’s (on which Brown is not featured, though there’s a chance he could be named in the top five) that can be credited with this one-off track.
As always, Brown’s energy is high on “#HottestMC” — a persona he didn’t quite live up to during — as he calls out every rapper that exists aside from himself.
Possibly the best line from “HottestMC?”
“I’m the present and the future same damn time” followed by some talk of fallatio. As always, Brown is a true gentleman.
