WESTMINSTER, Colo.—University of Colorado athletic officials say the wife of former Buffaloes football coach and Promise Keepers founder Bill McCartney has died.
School officials say Lyndi McCartney died Thursday at age 70 after suffering from emphysema for more than 10 years.
She had celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 29. Bill McCartney said in a written statement released by the school that he and the couple’s four children and 10 grandchildren all loved her very much.
Services were pending.
