
Despite our state’s growing reputation as a craft brew capital, wine is still a very popular beveragewith Coloradans. Witness DAM Uncorked, a two-part, wine-centric fundraiser for the .
Part One comes on a Friday night when presents a tasting where 300 wines are sampled by an appreciative crowd that packs Schlessman and Ponti halls and the Duncan Pavilion in the museum. No one goes hungry, either, thanks to an array of hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
The following evening is a more intimate affair, the $350-a-ticket Salon Musee & Wine Dinner. That event also is the occasion where the museum pays tribute to one of its benefactors; this year it was Kate Paul.
Paul, a DAM trustee, is president of , which sponsors numerous programs at the DAM.
