A teenage girl was injured Wednesday morning when she was hit by a van in southwest Denver.
The accident happened about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Iliff Avenue, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
The van was eastbound on Iliff when the driver made a left to head north on Federal and the vehicle hit a 16-year-old girl, Jackson said.
The girl was taken to a local hospital. Details on her injuries were not available.
The driver of the van stopped, stayed at the scene, near Lincoln High School, and was cooperative with investigators, Jackson said. A Denver police traffic investigation into the accident is ongoing.
