DENVER—Prosecutors have formally charged two brothers who were arrested after a fatal shooting outside a restaurant in Denver.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office says 25-year-old Robert Bernal and 18-year-old Paul Bernal are charged with first-degree murder in the April 27 death of 36-year-old Chris Haney.

Police say a fight broke out inside a Denny’s restaurant at Santa Fe Drive and Alameda Avenue and spilled out into the parking lot.

Multiple shots were fired, including one that went through the restaurant’s front window. No one was sitting at the booth near the front window at the time of the shooting.

The Bernal brothers are being held without bond and are set to appear in court Tuesday.
