A has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Corey Wagner, 34, was convicted last week of first-degree felony murder, second-degree murder, burglary, second-degree assault and menacing, according to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office.

Wagner murdered 26-year-old Anthony Montoya in 2006 at a Halloween party in Thornton.

Adams County District Judge Thomas Ensor also sentenced Wagner on Wednesday to six years in prison for second-degree assault against Jack Wright, who was pistol-whipped with the gun prior to the shooting.
