Ani DiFranco — Boulder Theater, 10 a.m., June 7
’s name conjures a particularly ’90s-flavored style of music to many, since her earnest acoustic anthems and dreadlocked stage presence helped define an adventurous time in punk-folk. And though the feminist icon continues to record, release and tour at a rapid clip, she enjoys a certain time-capsule fan base in the friendly environs of Boulder. DiFranco returns to play the on Oct. 13, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. June 7. ($30-$50, bouldertheater.com)
Justin Timberlake — Pepsi Center, on sale now
fans should start counting their pennies: Promoters announced prices for the Jan. 22 “20/20 Experience” tour stop at the . Nosebleeds aren’t bad, but if you’re looking to see JT up close, be prepared to spend close to $200 with fees. Tickets are on sale. ($45-$175, TicketHorse)
Nick Swardson — Boulder Theater, 10 a.m. Friday
Despite his best efforts, comedian has been unable to break away from the character-actor status that has defined him for the past decade. Thatap not to say the 36-year-old, who’s best known for roles like gay rollerblader Terry in Comedy Central’s “Reno 911!” and various Adam Sandler projects, doesn’t have an impressive résumé of films, stand-up specials and series (including the ill-fated “Pretend Time” on Comedy Central), only that he’s more of a cult comic at this point in his career. Swardson headlines the Boulder Theater on July 27, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. ($25-$40, bouldertheater.com)
Peter Hook — Gothic Theatre, 10 a.m. Saturday
’s distinctively high bass lines have underpinned some of the best post-punk and electro-rock of the past three decades, from Joy Division and New Order to his lesser-known work in Revenge, Monaco and Freebass. And while Hook split acrimoniously with his Joy Division/New Order mates in 2007, he’s still touring and DJing internationally, including a Sept. 28 concert at the under the name Peter Hook & the Light. Tickets for the show, with opener Slaves of Venus, are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($25.75, axs.com)
Jake Bugg — Ogden Theatre, on sale now
’s Sept. 23 concert at the 500-person capacity Bluebird Theater has been upgraded to the 1,700-capacity Ogden Theatre due to “popular demand,” so if you were initially thwarted from seeing the 19-year-old English singer-songwriter, act fast because tickets for the upgraded 16-and-up show are on sale. Sklar Brothers — Comedy Works, on sale now
Between sitcoms, podcasts and ESPN, the Sklar Brothers are seemingly everywhere these days. The twin comedians return to Comedy Works on June 27-29; tickets are on sale. ($17-$25, comedyworks.com)
