LONGMONT, Colo.—Police say a Colorado boy might be reunited with his mother on Tuesday after he was allegedly abducted and taken to Canada by his father.

Authorities had hoped to return 3-year-old Luke Turner to Brandy Turner of Longmont on Monday, but the meeting was delayed.

Police tell the Longmont Times-Call ( ) the reunion could happen Tuesday.

Authorities say 51-year-old Monty Turner took Luke Saturday despite a court order prohibiting him from any contact with his son or Brandy Turner, his estranged wife.

Authorities say the father attacked Brandy Turner with pepper spray and a stun gun before taking the boy. He was arrested Sunday in Manitoba with Luke, who was unharmed.

The father was jailed on suspicion of kidnapping, burglary and assault. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
