New car and truck sales in Colorado are up 16.3 percent for the first four months of 2013 compared with a year earlier, as well as up 10.4 percent month-over-month for April compared with April 2012.

New-vehicle registrations for Dodge, Land Rover, Fiat, Mitsubishi, BMW, Buick and Ram each increased more than 32 percent during the first four months of this year, according to a report released Thursday by the . Association president Tim Jackson said the state saw another strong month in vehicle registration due to a relatively stable economy.

The used-vehicle market in Colorado was up less than 1 percent in April and improved 1.7 percent year-to-date.
