Colorado Springs investigators Friday conducted a follow-up interview with the 9-year-old girl who told them she fought off a pair of teenaged males who tried to kidnap her Thursday night.
“A few tips came in,” said Barbara Miller, spokeswoman for the Colorado Springs Police Department. “Investigators are continuing the investigation.”
Police also continued to scour the area on Friday for the two males in connection with the alleged attempted abduction of the girl near Carefree Circle South and North Powers Boulevard.
Police said she was playing outside her home about 7:30 p.m. when the two allegedly grabbed her from behind and tried to take her away from the home. She fought against the assailants. When she began to scream they fled, police said.
