Police are investigating after a shooting and possible carjacking in Denver early Thursday morning.

Denver police said the incident happened at 2602 Jasmine Street, according to .

The victim was shot in the upper body and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police said they were searching for two suspects, a male and a female, who left the scene in a , with a possible Colorado license plate number of 082YJF.

The suspect vehicle was found abandoned about 12:54 p.m. at East 28th Avenue and Marion Street by city workers, according to a police Tweet.
