LONGMONT, Colo.—The owner of the Longmont Times-Call is selling the newspaper’s downtown facility.
Prairie Mountain Publishing Co. says the building no longer fits current business needs.
The Times-Call reports ( ) news and sales operations will remain in the building until it is sold.
Prairie Mountain Publishing President and CEO Al Manzi said in a written statement released Friday that the 48,310-square-foot facility is four times the size that is needed.
The company’s production and circulation operations moved to Berthoud in 2009. After ap Inc. purchased the Times-Call and other Lehman Communications properties in 2011, business office operations moved out of the Longmont site.
The newspaper’s news and advertising departments remain in Longmont.
