Shopper caught with stolen goods. Officers were dispatched at 5:05 p.m. Aug. 5 to King Soopers, 10300 Federal Blvd., on a shoplifting call. A cashier at the store told police that a male suspect attempted to walk out without paying for a cart full of groceries. The cashier attempted to confront the suspect in the parking lot, but the man drove off. The estimated value of the groceries was $764.84.

Thieves make off with glasses. Police are looking for two male suspects who were seen shoplifting from Valero Corner Store, 801 W. 84th Ave. The incident occurred at about 3:04 p.m. Aug. 2. A clerk at the store said one of the suspects grabbed two pairs of sunglasses and took off without paying. Police are reviewing a still photo printout of the suspects.

Woman cited for theft. An 18-year-old Federal Heights woman was arrested for shoplifting on Aug. 2. The incident occurred at about 5:25 p.m. at King Soopers, 1575 W. 84th Ave. Police say the woman walked into the store, ripped a tag off a cloth shopping bag, filled the bag with $50 worth of groceries and attempted to walk out without paying. She was detained in the parking lot.

Elderly man hit by car. At approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded to an auto pedestrian accident in the 6500 block of East 72nd Avenue. A 64-year-old man was walking south across E. 72nd Avenue when a westbound vehicle collided with him. The driver remained on the scene. The male was transported by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries.
