Saturday. Golden’s Heritage Square Music Hall has been hosting theatrical productions in its charming Victorian space for 25 years, and its popular Children’s Theatre is close behind at 22 years. But since the venue is closing on Jan. 1, this weekend’s held-over performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” is one of the last chances to see Heritage Square’s uniquely interactive kids plays. The original production features writer-director Rory Pierce’s adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale and pokes fun at the self-important Emperor Mullinium, the first “fashionista.” Once again, kids will be called on stage to help with the performance and, as always, flash photography is allowed to capture your little one’s big debut. 1:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at 18301 W. Colfax Ave., D-103, in Golden. $7-$8. 303-279-7800 or
