Doherty, Lewis-Palmer hold onto top spots in prep volleyball polls

The state’s top volleyball squads all held onto the No. 1 spots in the teams’ respective classes in the latest CHSAANow.com Volleyball Polls.

After , the Doherty High volleyball team holds onto its top spot with eight out of 11 first-place votes. Despite losing, the Wolves still sit at No. 2 with two first-place votes. Arapahoe (No. 4) jumped five spots and snagged the final first-place vote.

Lewis-Palmer holds onto the No. 1 spot in 4A with nine out of 12 first-place votes. Cheyenne Mountain comes in at No. 2 with the other three votes. Air Academy (No. 9) enters the poll this week.

In 3A, Valley continues at No. 1 with five of the seven first-place votes, followed by No. 2 Gunnison and No. 3 Eaton. Bayfield (No. 4) and Holy Family (No. 8) each received a first-place vote.

Lutheran (4-0) repeats at No. 1 in 2A with six out of eight first-place votes. Fowler mad the biggest jump, climbing seven spots into No. 2. With six out of seven first-place votes, Caliche takes the top spot in 1A.
