Preparing a getaway bag. An employee at Walmart, 7455 W. Colfax Ave., called police Aug. 19 when he saw a man conceal a knife in a suitcase — both store products. The man was caught trying to steal the knife, a prepaid cellphone and clothes in the suitcase. He was given a summons.

Repentant nacho thief. Police were called to 7-Eleven, 1107 S. Sheridan Blvd., on Aug. 19 after a man stole two trays of nachos and almost ran over the clerk who tried to stop him. The man returned to the store to apologize and told police he had been drinking. He was arrested.

A different approach. An RTD security officer called police to Lamar Street Station, 6363 West 13th Ave., after a man masturbated in front of a female passenger Aug. 18. Police arrested the man, who said he was trying a different approach to meet women. He was given a summons for indecent exposure.

Not welcome. A man called police to the 1300 block of Vance Street after a man tried to enter his house Aug. 18. The victim was on his porch when the suspect tried to open his back door. The victim pushed him away. Another neighbor said the same man tried to enter his home. The suspect was cited for trespassing.

Obsessive ex. A woman went to the Lakewood Police Department on Aug. 17 to report that her ex-boyfriend would not stop calling, texting and dropping in on her. While at the station, the woman’s coworkers called to tell her that her ex was there, asking if she’d be in that night. Police arrested him.
