
The Littleton police officer charged with buying $1,300 worth of Ecstasy from a confidential informant has indicated he will change his plea to guilty in federal court.
Jeffery Allan Johnston, , according to court records.
That motion was filed Aug. 16, the same day prosecutors for the case dismissed the original criminal complaint after filing a new charging document, court records show.
Johnston, 46, was initially charged with multiple crimes including drug possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The new document lists only two charges: prohibited person in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute.
The possession count carries a maximum of 20 years in prison and up to a $1 million fine.
Johnston was arrested July 19.
Federal authorities claim Johnston held house parties at his Parker home, where investigators found cocaine, steroids, hundreds of prescription pills, guns and cash, according to records.
