ASPEN — On Sept. 28 and 29, the city of Aspen will be pushing aside many of its outdoor vending rules in the downtown core.
This end-of-season sidewalk sale will give businesses a chance to clear out some leftover, seasonal items.
“We’re not really worried about aesthetics for a couple of days,” said Jim Pomeroy, code enforcer for the Community Development Department. “The idea is to just promote businesses.”
The event hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 28 and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 29. If the event has a positive impact, the city will look into expanding those times next year.
