FRISCO, Colo.—Electric car maker Tesla Motors says it plans to install a free supercharging station in Silverthorne.

The Summit Daily News reports ( ) work crews were at the future Tesla station at the Outlets of Silverthorne this week installing the supercharging cabinets. The Outlets received four cabinets and will feature eight charging stations.

Tesla Motors, based in Palo Alto, Calif., currently offers one electric car model that can travel between 208 miles and 265 miles on a full charge. The company announced in May an aggressive campaign to construct 120-kilowatt supercharging stations throughout the country.
