A portion of West 6th Avenue in Golden will be closed overnight near Johnson Road on Wednesday for a construction project.

The road will be closed at 9 p.m. Wednesday as work crews set a pedestrian bridge at the RTD West Line Light Rail station adjacent to the Jefferson County Administration Building, according to a Golden media release.

Partial lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. to prepare for the full closure. The bridge placement should be completed overnight, but a second closure overnight Thursday is possible.

The road should reopen at 5:30 a.m., the release said.

The bridge project should be completed in December.
