Strange things afoot at the Circle K. An employee of Circle K, 4570 Chambers Road, called Denver Police on Sept. 25 after what she believed was an attempted burglary. The clerk told police she locked the front doors while she used the restroom. While in there, she heard a noise and when she came out found the locks damaged. No items were missing.

Suspects sits in ironic spot. A man was arrested Sept. 26 for loitering in front of Emerald City Organics, 5115 Federal Blvd. A Denver Police officer noticed the suspect asking for money from people. The officer also contacted the store manager, who said the suspect was not welcome and had been asked to leave. He was also sitting in front of a “no loitering” sign.

Man doesn’t pay for high bar bill. On Sept. 23, a suspect ran up a $214 bar bill at Romes Bar, 785 W. Mississippi Ave., and left without paying. Employees told Denver Police that the suspect paid with a debit card and did not sign the receipt. The debit card was not accepted.

Shots fired into garage. A woman called Denver Police on Sept. 30 after she heard shots fired into her garage in the 2600 block of West 35th Avenue. The garage was located on the north side of the home and the woman said she heard about 10 shots but did not see a vehicle leave the scene or hear voices.

Woman fails in trying to hide $800 in clothing in stroller. A woman was arrested Oct. 1 after she tried to shoplift at Macy’s, 8298 E. 49th Place. The woman was observed selecting nearly $800 in clothing and hiding it in a stroller. She tried to leave the store without paying and was contacted by loss prevention officers.
