COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs fire crews extricated one person after a car fell into Fountain Creek west of the I-25 and Cimarron Street intersection.
Fire department spokeswoman Sunny Smaldino confirmed the car had only one occupant but did not have details on the condition of the driver, who was taken to a local hospital.
The westbound lanes of U.S. 24 were closed while the vehicle was removed from the creek.
