Fire investigators in Lakewood continue to process materials from the spate of fires set within a two-hour period and a 2-mile radius, but, so far, have few leads.
Fifteen early Tuesday morning.
“Those car fires burn so hot, they leave little evidence,” said Bruce Kral, fire marshal for the West Metropolitan Fire Protection District.
With few witnesses and lack of evidence, fire investigators are left with little to go on, Kral said.
“The good news, no other fires have been set,” he said.
While the fires have yet to be definitely linked, Kral said investigators are confident that are connected.
Anyone with information on the fires, who has not already talked to investigators, is asked to call West Metro at 303-989-4307; or the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
