
Carted away. The owner of the Pudge Bros. Pizza at 6085 E. 64th Ave. called police Oct. 14 when someone stole two food prep-line carts from behind the store. Police searched the area, but found no suspects.
Intercepted mail. A woman at the 9700 block of Chambers Drive called police to her home on Oct. 11 after she watched people drive up and steal the mail from her mailbox. The woman said she was missing several mortgage checks.
Prolonged theft. Police were called to the Wal-Mart at 9901 Grant St. after an employee caught a shoplifter who spent hours picking out merchandise on Oct. 5. The employee watched a woman hide items in tote bags for three hours before she attempted to leave the store after paying for only a few things.
Designated swerver. A patrolling officer noticed a gold truck weaving between solid traffic lines near 120th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard on Oct. 6. When stopped, the driver told the officer that he was a designated driver. The man failed a roadside sobriety test and was arrested.
Stealing presents. A shoplifter was cited at the Wal-Mart at 9901 Grant St. after she tried to leave the store with merchandise in her purse on Oct. 3. She told police she took the items impulsively and was going to give them to her sister.
Trashed trailer. The manager of a mobile home complex in the 2300 block of West 92nd Avenue reported $6,000 worth of damage to a unit on Oct. 1. The manager went to the unit after its evicted residents left. Inside, the floor was flooded, the walls were tagged with graffiti and food and feces were spread everywhere.
