A man sought in connection with the deadly shooting of another man this month in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood is in jail and facing first-degree murder charges.
Tyree Bowen, 18, was arrested Sunday and remains in the Downtown Denver Detention Center without bond, court records show. Denver police said Bowen is a suspect in the Oct. 19 killing of Vincente Penaloza, 27, who was found shot to death in a parking lot outside the Lowry Heights apartments.
Neighbors who heard gunshots early that morning called police, who found Penaloza dead of at least two bullet wounds.
Denver police have said nothing about what led up to the crime or how the men may have known each other.
