
A history of violence continues. On Oct. 24, a woman was arrested after tipping over a motorcycle and damaging the window of a victim’s home with a piece of wood. The woman started doing the damage after she was asked to leave by the victim. Denver Police contacted the suspect in the 2800 block of West College Avenue, where she was arrested.
Suspect takes advantage of policy. The manager of Floyd’s Barbershop, 1092 Broadway, called Denver Police on Oct. 27 to report theft. The manager said a man had been taking items off the shelf and returning them for cash. The store has a “no questions asked” policy on returns. The manager said other stores have had the same problem.
Gang member assaults man. A man called Denver Police on Oct. 26 after he was assaulted by a gang member after he witnessed four of the men assaulting a female in the 1000 block of East Colfax Avenue. The man told police one of the suspects told him to sit down, took his bus tokens and punched him in the eye.
4 Woman’s car broken into, no items missing. A woman called Denver Police on Oct. 29 after her car was vandalized in the 5600 block of Dearborn Street. The victim said the car’s rear passenger window had been broken and the back seat rummaged around.
Hair salon vandalized. On Oct. 28, Denver Police responded to Beto’s Hair Salon, 105 Federal Blvd., on a report of broken windows. Police found that an unknown suspect threw three bricks through three different windows.
