USA Today published its annual Wednesday and it’s no surprise that Alabama’s Nick Saban is the top dog, pulling in a total of $5,545,852 in 2013. Combine that with back-to-back national titles and unyielding power in Tuscaloosa and it’s no wonder Saban says he’s perfectly happy with the Crimson Tide.

However,  for what it’s worth. Mac Brown is No. 2 on the list with a total 2013 salary of $5,453,750 and has a max bonus of $850,000.

The biggest surprise on the list is the comparably meager salary of Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly. According to USA Today, Kelly is making just $1,088,179 this year but he did sign a five-year contract extension with the Fighting Irish in August, of which exact financial terms were not disclosed.

Also, Dave Christensen at Wyoming is making $1.2 million this year.
