COLORADO SPRINGS — Police say one person died Saturday night after a single-vehicle wreck on West Cheyenne Mountain Road.
A vehicle was traveling northeast on Cheyenne Mountain Road near the intersection of Penrose Boulevard when the driver failed to navigate a curve in the road. The vehicle crashed into a 6-foot fence, multiple trees, a telephone box and a wood utility pole before coming to a rest on the shoulder of the road.
The driver was ejected and was taken to a hospital, where the person died from injuries.
