GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority is conducting its own investigation to determine what federal authorities are examining at the Grand Junction airport.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel ( ), airport officials say they are in the dark because agents with the FBI and U.S. Department of Transportation have sealed their investigation of the airport.
Grand Junction airport administrators say they were ordered earlier this month to turn over financial records as part of an FBI investigation.
The FBI conducted a search of the airport’s offices as part of what the agency said is an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.
