Kids run over garden. Golden police responded Nov. 19 to the 600 block of Iowa Street to a complaint that two juveniles rolled a tire down an alley and into a resident’s flower garden. The resident described the suspects as 5 or 6 years old and wanted to “put the fear of God into them.”
It was all a dream. On Nov. 21, a Jefferson County Sherrif’s deputy went to the 2200 block of Hiwan Circle, Evergreen, after a resident said men claiming to be police officers came to his party to arrest guests and steal from him. The deputy noted there were no fresh tracks in the snow as evidence of such visitors. The suspect admitted it was “strange” and said he hadn’t slept in days, likely causing hallucinations. Deputies determined no crime was committed.
Rock disturbs revelry. A deputy responded Nov. 24 to the 5300 block of Highway 73, Evergreen, when residents believed their neighbor, who earlier filed a noise complaint about their revelry, threw a rock through their door. The neighbor claimed she couldn’t have thrown a rock due to an injury. The case is open pending leads.
Real-estate rejection. A woman called the Jeffco Sheriff’s office after an altercation in the 12100 block of Circle Drive in the Conifer area. She said she was taking photos of a home for a real-estate appraisal when a man came out of the house yelling at her.
Exes and eggs. Deputies went to the 12000 block of West Stanford Drive, unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), where a car’s windows had been smashed and egged. The victim suspected his ex-girlfriend, who had been sending him harassing text messages.
