A family in Arvada has been displaced by a house fire.
Firefighters with the doused the fire at a two-story townhome at West 81st Avenue and Hoyt Way, said Scott Pribble, a fire district spokesman.
Firefighters were called to the home at about 1:15 p.m. when the temperature was 10 degrees with a wind chill of minus 2 degrees.
There were no injuries, but the chimney fire has forced a family out of the home until repairs to the roof and chimney can be made, Pribble said.
The fire district is working with the family on making sure they have arrangements for temporary housing.
