At least three, possibly four, people following the Denver Broncos’ 27-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers on December 12, 2013. Here is a look at some other recent sports stadium-related violence:
December 1: Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City was the after a fight broke out in the parking lot following the Chiefs’ 35-28 loss to the Denver Broncos. Police said the incident was thought to be related to a car break-in rather than “fan rivalry.”
November 28: A by Oakland Raiders fans following a Dallas victory in the game on Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The assault left the fan unconscious on a sidewalk but he survived.
October 20: A New York New England Patriots’s fan in the face following the Jets-Patrtiots game at MetLife Stadium. Four people were charged, and banned from the stadium, following the incident.
September 25: A Los Angeles Dodgers fan, Jonathan Denver, 24, near a bar outside AT&T Park in San Francisco after two altercations with Giants fans.
September 22: A 40-year-old fan was attacked during a football game at Candlestick Park and suffered a concussion, broken arm and nose as the San Francisco 49ers lost 27-7 to the Indianapolis Colts. There were reports of other assaults such as kicking and punching as fans left the game.
