COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Tre’ Coggins scored 17 points to lead Air Force to the 62-52 victory over UC Riverside Saturday.
Air Force (6-4) went into halftime with a 26-23 lead. Hayden Graham paced the Falcons, scoring seven points and pulling down six rebounds in the half.
UC Riverside (3-5) trailed only by three despite struggles at the free-throw line, going 4 of 11 in the half.
Air Force came out strong after the break, ripping off a 16-4 run and taking a 42-27 lead. Coggins scored nine points during the spurt.
The Highlanders would cut the lead to seven after a Lucas Devenny three-point play, but a Kamryn Williams 3-pointer pushed the lead back to double figures with 2:23 left. UC Riverside never got closer than seven.
Graham finished with nine points and a career-high eight boards.
Taylor Johns paced UC Riverside, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
