Blood-splattered truck. A Golden police officer doing an area check of the parking lot at Home Depot, 16900 W. Colfax Ave., spotted a truck splattered with blood. He contacted the vehicle owner, who explained that he was a Red Rocks Community College EMT program instructor and the blood was from a mock injury scenario. The officer confirmed the blood was fake and advised the owner to wash his truck.

Grinch gets summons. Golden police responded to a report Nov. 28 in the area of Washington Avenue and 12th Street of a man who exited a vehicle and placed an “(Expletive) Christmas” sticker on an electrical box. An officer went to the home of the vehicle owner, where a man matching the description of the perpetrator confirmed he applied the sticker. He was issued a summons for criminal tampering.

Windows broken on Washington. Golden police reported Dec. 3 that three vehicles parked on Washington Avenue between Iowa and Fifth streets were found with broken windows. One vehicle owner found a ball bearing inside his car.

Friendship foiled. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to a residence in the 8300 block of Blue Creek Road, Evergreen, to investigate an argument between roommates over aluminum foil. No charges were filed. Deputies advised the two to find new roommates.

Graffiti spotted. Jeffco deputies reported finding graffiti at a vacant property in the 30400 block of Kings Valley Drive, west of Conifer. Renderings included letters, numbers and male genitalia.
