
1,300 pounds of wire stolen. On. Dec. 11, a deputy responded to a construction site at 8636 S. Peoria St., where employees noticed someone had stolen 13 spools of wire weighing 100 pounds each. The manager believed someone who worked at the site had stolen it, but there was no evidence.
Vehicle trespass. On Dec. 12, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of Savannah Sparrow Drive, where a man reported someone had gone through his glove box. He wasn’t sure if he locked the car.
Missing envelope. On Dec. 12, a deputy responded to the 10000 block of Sage Sparrow Court, where a woman reported someone went through her car and stole an unopened envelope. She said she might have left the car unlocked.
Property damage. On Dec. 10, a deputy responded to the 10000 block of Heather Drive, where someone had driven onto a woman’s land and had broken several segments of fencing. She believed it was done right after it first snowed, and there were no tire tracks left in the ground.
Missing jewelry. On Dec. 6, a deputy responded to the 3500 block of Craftsbury Drive, where a woman reported someone had stolen jewelry from her home earlier in the year. She stopped using a cleaning service after the jewelry disappeared.
Missing plates. On Dec. 5, a deputy responded to NAPA Auto Parts, 5910 E. County Line Road, where the manager reported someone had stolen the license plates off a vehicle. There are no security cameras outside and he was not sure who stole the plates.
