Get off my lawn. Police responded to the 9600 block of Gull Street on Dec. 21 after a group of kids threw a rock through a man’s living room window. The victim said he told the kids to get away from his yard, and believes they broke the window out of spite.

Welcome home. A man returned from vacation to his home in the 2000 block of West 92nd Avenue on Dec. 20 and saw a giant hole through his front door. Inside the house, the man said $6,300 was missing from a lock box. There are no suspects.

Offensive comments. Police were called to the 2000 block of 91st Place by a woman who said her neighbor harassed her by announcing that something smelled bad when she walked past him on Dec. 19. The woman said her neighbor always makes similar comments. The man was cited.

Unsafe keeping. After he realized his storage unit at 9230 N. Federal Blvd. had been robbed, a man went to the police to report missing items. The victim said he noticed two SLR cameras, two telephoto lenses and a set of golf clubs were taken.

Swiss cheese car. A man called police to his home in the 9000 block of Fontaine Street on Dec. 16 after someone shot dozens of holes in his car. All the windows were broken, and car hood and interior seats were riddled with .22-caliber bullets. There are no suspects.

Peppermint nap. A patrolling officer spotted a sleeping man on the ground behind the 7-Eleven on 1605 W. 92nd Ave. on Dec. 16. When the officer woke him, a bottle of peppermint schnapps fell out of his hand. The man was arrested for open container.
