Samuel Flores, the 18-year-old wanted in the alleged beating of his grandmother in Colorado Springs, was arrested Sunday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department,
Deputies were responding to a call for a burglary in progress when Flores was arrested.
The Colorado Springs Police Department had been on the lookout for Flores after receiving a 911 call early Saturday morning about a family disturbance in the 2800 block of Tenderfoot Hill Street
A 73-year-old woman, Elvira Countryman, said her grandson, Samuel Flores, had repeatedly beaten her with an unknown object before she escaped and ran to a neighbor’s house.
