Overnight temperatures below zero degrees combined with weekend snow will likely slow the commute Monday morning for drivers in northeastern Colorado.

The temperature in and are a mix of icy patches, packed snow and dry pavement. Drivers should take precautions, slow down and plan for a longer than usual commute.

There will be a areas of dense fog across the eastern plains through Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Visibilities will be below a mile at times.

In the mountains Monday, winds will gust to 70 mph hours along higher peaks and into South Park, especially along the U.S. 285 corridor along the Mosquito Range.

In and the high temperature should climb to the mid-30s, the weather service reports.

Tonight in Denver skies will be partly cloudy and the low temperature should drop into the teens.

Tuesday brings warmer weather to the city, with partly cloudy skies and a high temperature near 50 degrees.
