
Several fires in Lakewood that caused more than $250,000 in damage remain unsolved after weeks of exhaustive investigation.
West Metro Fire Rescue is hoping that a witness, or witnesses, will still come forward with a lead that could help solve the case and lead to a suspect.
Fire investigators launched a Thursday, urging the media to revisit the in hopes that it may trigger a reader or viewer to come forward with key information.
The series of suspicious fires were set early in the morning, around 6 a.m., just before sunrise, in an area along West Alameda Avenue and South Estes Street.
One carport fire destroyed 15 vehicles and a motorcycles. Two residences — a single-family home and a multi-unit townhome , were damaged.
There were no injuries.
Anyone with information on the fires, or on a possible suspect, is asked to call West Metro Fire Rescue at 303 989-4307 or the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
