• Discount Tire has opened a new store in Fort Collins at 1830 N. College Ave.
• The Colorado Small Business Development Center Network announced the launch of an online portal — the Colorado Resource Gateway — to connect businesses to local, state, federal and nonprofit resources across the state. The Resource Gateway can be found at coloradosbdc.org/resources/resource-gateway.
• American Eagle Distributing Co. received the Large Business of the Year award recently during the Loveland Chamber of Commerce’s annual investor awards. Other award winners include: Rowe’s Flowers, small business of the year; The city of Loveland, the Heart award for its contributions to Loveland’s flood-recovery efforts; JB Kellogg with Madwire Media, young professional; John Soricelli with Next Peak Business Solutions, ambassador of the year; and Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center received the Nonprofit of the Year award.
• Proximo launched Tincup American Whiskey last week. Created by Jess Graber, founder of Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, Tincup is made from a blend of corn, rye and malt. The whiskey is named after Tincup, an old mining town in Gunnison County.
• Rocky Mountain Vein Institute
, a network of vein diagnosis and treatment centers in Colorado and Texas, announced a change in name to American Vein & Vascular Institute
. The company will migrate existing clinics to the new name over the next six months and will be completed by Aug. 1.
• Arc Thrift Stores has signed a lease with Thunderbird Plaza LLC to be one of its anchor tenants at Midtown Commons Shopping Center, 2701 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins. Arc will occupy 25,776 square feet of retail space.
• Griffis Residential, a Denver-based multifamily investment and management company, announced that it has acquired a 332-unit Class A community in the Las Vegas submarket of Summerlin for $43.2 million.
• Coalfire announced the launch of HIPAAcentral, a new compliance exchange that provides a comprehensive suite of services to manage, maintain and exchange health-care regulatory-compliance data.
• Brinkman Partners will relocate its corporate headquarters to the Harmony Technology Park in Fort Collins at the corner of Lady Moon Drive and Precision Drive.
• RoundPegg, a Boulder-based culture-management company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Point B, a management-consulting and venture-investment firm, to deliver culture-management solutions.
