Is the Mile High City a sports town, or what?
Roughly 24 hours after the nailed the AFC championship and a trip to , 1,200 fans of the , , and showed up at for the annual Mile High Dreams Gala.
The Jan. 20 event included refreshments courtesy of 20 top Denver restaurants and watering holes; music by an ensemble from the ; and appearances by team mascots and dance squads.
Net income was still being tallied at press time, but gala spokeswoman Deb Dowling says it will be upwards of $100,000. The money will go to programs and services for children and families in Colorado supported by Kroenke Sports Charities, including the , and the .
