Technically Speaking: Suthers doesn’t join national effort to ban Internet gambling

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers is not joining a nationwide effort to ban online gambling. The National Association of Attorneys General recently coordinated a sign-on letter to Congress regarding this topic, but Suthers did not sign the letter, a spokeswoman said. At the request of the Colorado Division of Gaming, Suthers on the matter in December, stating that an amendment to the Colorado Constitution would be required for the state to authorize Internet gambling. State lawmakers and industry officials are to legalize online poker in Colorado. — Andy Vuong, The Denver Post
