
Shoplifting. On Feb. 1, Edgewater police officers responded to King Soopers, 1725 Sheridan Blvd., regarding a shoplifting. A 24-year-old transient was issued a summons for stealing $46 worth of merchandise.
After-school fight. On Jan. 30, officers responded to Jefferson High School, 2305 Pierce St., Edgewater, regarding a fight that had occurred off-campus. Two teenaged boys were issued summonses for disorderly conduct. Both sustained minor injuries.
Jeep stolen, recovered. On Jan. 29, officers responded to the 2400 block of Ingalls Street regarding a stolen vehicle report. The female victim was dropping her child at a residence in the area when her vehicle, a 2008 silver Jeep Commander, was stolen as she left the engine running. The Jeep was later recovered in Denver. Denver police are following up.
Mom harassment. On Jan. 28, officers responded to the 5600 block of West 25th Avenue regarding an altercation. A man was involved in a verbal and physical confrontation with his mother. He was issued a summons for harassment and destruction of property. His mother did not sustain any injuries.
Wrestling leads to arrest. A Lakewood police officer was dispatched Jan. 22 to an apartment on the 1100 block of Carr Street, where a woman was heard yelling “Stop!” The woman said she and her boyfriend were wrestling for fun, but he wanted to have sex. She told him she did not want to have sex or wrestle anymore, when he pulled her off the couch, causing her to hit her face on the baseboard. He was arrested for harassment.
