The Minnesota Vikings will soon be playing in a brand new stadium. But before the new Minneapolis complex can go up, the team’s current facility, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, has to come down.

As part of the demolition, a planned explosion severed the roof’s cables Sunday, letting the dome fall to the stadium’s ground, .

Pro tip: The explosion doesn’t begin until 0:43, and even then, there’s only about 1 seconds of demolition action.

The 31-year-old Metrodome will be replaced by a new $1 billion stadium due to open in 2016.
