Challenge Aspen Chris Bove Memorial Uphill
Feb. 22: All ages and abilities are invited to the uphill challenge using snowshoes, telemark skis or stabilizers or whatever it takes to ascend the 1,368-vertical-foot climb up Snowmass Mountain. Start time is 7:30 a.m. A post-race celebration includes a pancake breakfast and prizes. Registration is $40 through Feb. 20, $45 on race day. That Dam Run
March 2: “The Best Dam Run” is the theme for this race offering a 13.1 mile half marathon, 5K run/walk and Kids Fun Run. Start times are 9:50 a.m. for the Kids Run, 10 a.m. for the half marathon, 10:05 a.m. for the 5K. Awards for the 5K are presented at 10:50 a.m. and the half-marathon at 12:30 p.m. Fees vary.
