Been caught stealing. On Feb. 13, a 29-year-old Englewood woman was arrested for shoplifting $212 worth in merchandise from Target, 1985 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater.

Rainbow trip not so happy. On Feb. 12, a 47-year-old Denver man was arrested for shoplifting merchandise at the Rainbow clothing store, 1931 Sheridan Blvd.

Stranger danger. On Feb. 11, twin 10-year-old boys reported that as they walked home from Lumberg Elementary School, a white male with a bald head and a gray beard driving an older, small black vehicle drove past them on the street, then backed up and asked them to get into his vehicle. The boys refused and the suspect drove away from the scene. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 22nd Avenue and Marshall Street. Edgewater police have increased visible patrols in the area.

Employee theft. On Feb. 5, Lakewood police officers were dispatched to TJ Max, 98 Wadsworth Blvd., concerning an employee theft. Loss prevention had video surveillance of four incidents of a female employee stealing $20 bills from the cash register. When confronted about the theft, she said she needed help buying books for her daughter. She was fired and arrested.

Daughter assaults mother. Police arrested a 39-year-old woman Feb. 5 on suspicion of assaulting her mother at their residence in the 12900 block of West Virginia Avenue. The two were arguing about some paperwork when the daughter became verbally confrontational and violent. The mother had scratches and bruises on her body.
