Three people were injured Thursday morning when a car collided with a school bus in Douglas County.

The accident happened in the intersection of Colorado 83 and Old School House Road, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

A Pontiac Vibe collided with a Douglas County School Bus, said Trooper Josh Lewis, a state patrol spokesman.

The driver and a passenger in the Vibe were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, as was one student on the bus, who also had minor injuries, Lewis said.

There were 15 students on the bus. No other injuries were reported.
