Denver police are investigating a report of shots fired, which prompted a nearby high school to go into lockdown Tuesday afternoon.
The “disturbance” happened in the area of East Exposition Avenue and South Newport Street around 4 p.m., according to a tweet from Denver police.
George Washington High School at 655 S Monaco Parkway was locked down but the lockdown was lifted by 4:45 p.m.
A suspect is in custody.
There are no reported injuries, police said.
